Vinylester Resins were developed as an alternate to using Epoxy systems as they are quite costly in manufacturing. Vinylester Resin has proven to be one of the most relibale resins in the current composite market. It rivals the strength and resistance of epoxy resins, and the usability of polyester resins. Vinylester is cured using MEKP (methyl ethyl ketone peroixide), the same curing agent as polyester resins.

Vinylester Resins have excellent resistance to osmosis and corrosion due to their molecular chains and are often the number one choice for protective skins that will be prone to water, chemicals or high temperatures.
